The Great Wolf Lodge

After Nauvoo, Ill we drove to Kansas City, Kansas to the Great Wolf Lodge Resort. Its a waterpark and fun hotel. We had a blast with the whole family. Joy and Larry spoil us!

The kids waiting for story time to start in the lobby.

Watching the big clock tower animals sing and talk before story time.

We had so much fun swimming! (Max was just mad cause I got out of the water to take a picture.)

Lilia was so brave. With her life jacket she would kick and swim all around by herself. She also loved the waterslides! She went under the water for the first time and is improving so much.

Dinner at the T-Rex restaurant was great fun! Except the first time Max was face to face with that animatronic one behind them. He screamed so loud, it broke my heart.

This dino wasn't scary at all :)

Grandma treated all the kids to a "build-a-wolf". They love them!

We had so much fun! The kids keep asking to go back.
We drove out to Illinois and then down to Kansas. It took us 19.5 hours to drive home. Our kids went to/thru 7 states. They were amazing in the car. We can hardly wait for our next Brough Reunion!

Nauvoo

So last month we had a Grimshaw Family Reunion in Nauvoo, Ill. We had lots of fun with our Brough family and all the cousins and relations. Here are a few pics from our fun historical adventures.
Oxen ride sure was bumpy.

The kids favorite place was Pioneer Pastime, full of dress-ups, pioneer games and toys.

Grandma bought all the girls bonnets!

Grandma Joy and Papa Larry and all their grandkids.

The first time in 3 years the entire Brough family is together! We are sealed together for time and all eternity. It was lovely to be outside the temple together.

We are so blessed to be an eternal family!

Countdown to our first house!

So I haven't been too vocal about our home buying experience for fear it won't come true. We are 9 days away from closing and all looks very positive. Next to marriage and having children this is the biggest thing I've ever done in my life. This is my "golden ticket"! We have not lived on our own in 6 years. Crazy, I know. I think opening each box from storage will be like Christmas. We have loved living with my parents in NJ and with David's parents in Utah. And we had a great adventure living in Taiwan (we shared our apt with the other teachers). But we are ready to be independent once again! Here are a few pictures of the home we hope to call our own.
