Is Lily a vampire?

Tonight after Lily's bath she started getting silly and decided to bite my clothes. She proceeded to take that a step further and bite me. We've joked before that its a result of my reading Twilight and she is Renesme. Well, now I have proof she's after blood.

There are 2 bite marks. The first is higher, towards the freckles. The second is the brighter more noticeable mark. The first was through my shirt the second was not. She literally had to be pulled off of me and it broke the skin but did not bleed. Of course I was upset and once off I squeezed her cheeks telling her "NO! DO NOT BITE!" And then she laughed. I left the room which was the rest of her punishment. David dressed her and calmed her down.

What color would you call this?

Well, I was bored and depressed so what do I decide? I want to change my hair. I trimmed it, that was alright. So I colored it. I used a temporary mousse, Spicy Shimmer! It was supposed to be brown with the slightest auburn glow. Well I put it on and watched. As my hair turned more and more like Lucille Ball I decided to rinse. The back is a pale strawberry blonde but the front is a bit bolder. I always said I wanted pink hair =) No worries, it will wash out in 8-12 shampoos. (The color blind men in my life, Dave and my Dad can't even see it.) I'm considering going brunette soon. Let me know what you think!

"Hula"va good time!

We received our package from Grandma and Grandpa yesterday. They went to Hawaii and we get presents! David got a t-shirt, I got chocolate covered macadamia nuts and Lilia is now a hula dancer.David tried to say the t-shirt was for me and chocolates for him, but I'm willing to share. Lilia was so cute when we dressed her up. She kept pulling the coconuts and looking inside them, and then grab the grass skirt and lift it up. She was very confused. But she did a little dancing which we caught on video. Enjoy our hula baby!

Sewing, Plumbing and we don't even have our own home yet.

We live in NJ with my parents and we have our own bathroom. Dave woke me Sunday morning by telling me the floor was soaking wet after he shaved. He's not that messy, the sink had a major leak. It required a new drain and if you know us we're the type who call for help. But my Dad made this our "first lesson in home repair". Dave did it by himself. (I held the flashlight.) WHOA! It seems to be leak free. Let's hope we can keep learning.

My next homemaking skill is sewing. Lisa, a new member at church, gives me sewing lessons. I have made multiple attempts at sewing before now and they all turned out alright. But this was the first clothing attempt, a wrap around blouse for me. I'm pretty pleased with it. My next project is a cap and gown for Lily to match Dave for graduation.

Green Eggs and Ham

Hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day! We started the day with green eggs and ham. Lily's never read the book but I quoted it constantly during breakfast. She loves eggs, and meat is her favorite! It tasted great, you just had to close your eyes.

We spent the day running errands. The worst was taking Lily's blood to be tested for lead. She hated it, of course and the worst part is they were unsuccessful. The two people never found a vein. After two arms Lily was crying so hard she was sweating. I demanded they stop and we left. We'll try another day somewhere better.

Goodnight Gorilla!

You might have seen this on facebook. Lily's favorite story is "Goodnight Gorilla". Listen to her say goodnight gorilla at the beginning of the video. She's such a cutie and loves her books!

Stop the wagon, I'm jumping on!

Ok, I'm eating my own words. I said I would never do this and jump on the bandwagon. I said I was a facebooker not a blogger. But I realize I must do both to keep up with the young and the old, the computer savvy and the computer illiterate. And above all else I love and adore my baby girl and want the world to see how cute she is. So save your "I told you so" and just enjoy.

Note: my blog will consist mostly of photos and video. I'm not a good writer, I'm not that witty and I don't care to share political opinions(I have few) or recipes(I can't be trusted alone in the kitchen). If you have any helpful suggestions let me know. I'm new to all of this.
