Disneyland Awesomeness!

Forced Family Fun in Disneyland!
We spent 3 days park hopping in sunny California. It was in celebration of our last time together for a few years. Misawa Broughs, we miss you! David's brother and family are now in Japan. Lilia loved the environment. Everything is bright, colorful and just makes you smile!

We had breakfast at Rainforest Cafe our first morning. Lily loved her cousins!
We waited for the bus too long. But we did it in style.
I made our family shirts!
We swam at the pool in our hotel.
4 of the 6 girls had the same cherry swimsuit. We all shop at Target!
This was actually taken before we left. Lily loves rocks, not so thrilled with grass.

Lily hugging Daddy before the fireworks.
She's wearing my nursing cover as a cape
while drinking frozen lemonade.
I call her the Pink Jedi!
We danced in the street with the parade.
Lily and cousin Abigail!
Lilia's favorite ride by far was "It's a small world". She clapped and danced and sang. So cute!
Stairstep- Lily, Abigail and Rachel waiting for Storybook Land ride.
Waiting for the Light parade. No, I did not wet my pants with excitement. I had just been soaked on the river rapids ride.
So happy to run!
On the giant ferris wheel in Cali. Adventure, Lily loved it!
Hey, its David's alter ego!
Kissing her prince awake from his slumber.

Music time
Sitting in Pluto's bed. She tried licking the bone too.
Hey Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind, Hey Mickey!
We're all wearing Minnie!
Lily loved the submarine Nemo adventure!
Everyone asked if they were twins this day.
Lily loved offering cousins hugs.
On Lily's favorite ride!
"I'm with Goofy"

Our Utah Holiday

We're home from our amazing holiday in Utah and California! We had all the Brough family together minus Kevin (sad). The 6 granddaughters of Grandma Joy and Grandpa Larry had loads of fun together! We met up in Utah first and then headed down to Disneyland for a few days.
*Disneyland will be an entirely separate post. I have way too many pictures to make it all in one.

All the girls! Lilia, Abigail, Ashley, Becca, Rachel and Sara

We rode horses again. Thanks Worth and Glenda!

Visiting Grandma Brough, she loves to see her babies!Piggy tails on Lily Sue

Exotic Food Night

We had an Exotic Food Night on Friday. Our friends Heather and Fredy Perez came and brought a Guatemalan dish and an Argentine dish. The missionaries brought Asian food and a gross dessert (photos at bottom). We provided Taiwanese fish dishes and sauerkraut. Lots of fun and interesting food. And lots of new foods I won't be eating again. David tried everything and liked just about everything.

I tried most things except the eggs and hated most things.
Here I am eating the Mondungo, cow stomach soup.
Good flavor, horrible texture.
It was a thin slice of meat covered
in fat (but it felt like snot). Nasty!

100 year old eggs.
They were black on the inside.
David said they tasted like egg,
but had the texture of jello and jam.
Fredy not liking the the eggs.

David- " Pass the stomach soup and that other stuff."
He liked it.

Liver and onions and tomatoes.
The hardest thing to choke down.
I practically swallowed it whole.
It wasn't the taste. It smelled wonderful.
The liver felt like it was coated in powder
and stuck to your tongue.
Tip- don't drink a flavored drink when trying'
to wash something yucky down it only
makes everything taste nasty and fruity.

The fertilized egg. I refused to eat either egg.
This one had a baby chick inside. I told them
I would not touch an aborted chicken. Elder Pena (he's from the Philipines and taught us how to peal the eggs.) with the chick.

Fish balls, dried "stinky" fish, wasabi dumplingsThe missionaries idea of a funny dessert. I refused to eat the tootsie rolls. It was super rich. It was 2 differnt cake mixes, pudding honey and some other things. too much.
We brought Hi Chews, basically an asian starburst they are delicious.

I'm a sewing maniac! (updated)

My most favorite photo of Lilia Sue Brough.

This is the sundress I just finished for her.

I'm thinking of adding a small flower to the front. And I'm going to attempt a matching skirt for myself. I'm just cheesey like that!
Late update: This is my skirt to match. I made it yesterday.
