This week my mom and I participated in the Ms. New Jersey Senior Pageant. Mom came in at 2nd Runner-Up and I was the choreographer. Wednesday we rehearsed all day!! Thursday afternoon was the pageant. It was a rollercoaster ride. The women were all over the age of 60 yrs, one as old as 87 yrs. They were very sweet and worked hard but some of them were absolutely clueless. It was a long day but I loved it and look forward to next year! I also performed in a production number of "Lady in Red". It was great to be on stage dancing again!
I made the front page of the Press of Atlantic City Life section on Friday. Its my silhouette.

The article begins :
"The curtain rose, and the strains of "Lady In Red" floated through the air. Choreographer Melanie Brough dipped, glided and twirled toward center stage. When she hit her mark, the young dancer raised her arms, beckoning two lines of women out of the wings."
My Lily giving snuggles after the pageant. She was only there for the crowning. David stayed home with her while she napped.
After the pageant they thanked me and implied they want me back next year. I also have potential offers for the Ms. New York Senior pageant and the national pageant.
